WELCOME

Life is a journey with, occasionally, some very big surprises. That’s what happened to me, late in life. Now I am writing about it - writer, my latest career.

Thankfully, a new career does not mean you have to leave the old ones behind.

I have relished being a musician, recording artist, composer, writer and, for over thirty years, museum planner, though now retired from the latter.

My journey began in Geneva, Switzerland, where I was born. In 1953, my family immigrated to America with a cook, secretary, and a governess, and settled in a commuter town outside of New York City. We thought we would be there forever, but three years later the family fled to Rio de Janeiro to escape the debacle created by my father. It made front page news in the New York Times, throughout the country, and Canada. A year later we returned to the States, where my parents rebuilt our lives.

It wasn’t until after they had both died that I learned that they had kept our rich and extensive family heritage hidden from my sister and me.

My current project, A Heritage Unfolds: Family Secrets Revealed, which is in progress, is a memoir and historical quest to uncover all that my parents hid about their courageous lives and families.
